In 2017, we founded SCOPE Recruiting as a boutique supply chain recruiting firm. Based in Huntsville, Alabama, with a nationwide reach, we left successful industry careers to solve a frustrating problem: standard agencies simply do not understand the complex roles they are trying to fill.

Having spent years working directly in supply chain and operations, we knew what it actually took to do the work. We built SCOPE to be the firm that finally speaks the industry's language—relying on our firsthand experience to connect businesses with professionals who drive real results.

SCOPE Recruiting began with a simple realization: traditional recruiters often don’t understand the work they’re hiring for.

Melissa, a former Global Category Manager, saw this firsthand when she transitioned from supply chain operations to the recruiting world. She noticed a glaring gap that still exists today: most recruiters are great at managing a process, but they lack the technical depth to truly vet a candidate’s supply chain expertise.

Recognizing the need for a firm that actually speaks the industry’s language, Melissa and Friddy co-founded SCOPE Recruiting.

As former supply chain leaders with backgrounds in global manufacturing and procurement, they built a firm that reverses the standard industry model: we hire supply chain experts and teach them how to recruit.

Nearly a decade later, SCOPE remains dedicated to that founding principle. Every recruiter on our team comes from logistics, procurement, or operations leadership. We don’t just read resumes; we understand the complexities of the roles we fill because we've sat in those seats ourselves.

Before founding SCOPE, I built my career in supply chain operations as a Global Category Manager. I pivoted to recruiting to ensure companies get candidates vetted by true industry peers, not generalists. After a rewarding day of matching elite talent, I love to grab a cold glass of iced unsweet tea and head outdoors to wrangle our three young kids at the park.
