Reporting to the
Plant Manager, this person will have two direct reports and 60 indirect
employees.This position will oversee and direct all stamping
employees and press operators.
Direct and assign work schedules, assignments,
tasks, and duties.
Works with Production Planning in order to meet
on time delivery goal.
Monitors production rates to assure jobs are
running at optimal performance.
Leads by example.
Review all completed jobs and addresses any
improvements for future runs.
Provides leadership by promoting team concepts,
coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and
individual development thru effective performance management.
Cooperate with other departments to fulfill
Oversees safety / OSHA requirements in stamping
Develop short- to mid-term strategies to meet
Gather and analyze information from work sites
to identify root causes in resolving business issues.
Monitor results and processes to proactively
maximize production and eliminate waste.
Prepare departmental reports and present them to
the Plant Manager and/or executive management.
Complete necessary documentation, such as status
changes, time-off requests, and performance evaluations.
Work with Human Resources Manager to identify
and interview potential employees for job positions.
Interpret work orders, specifications, and
company policies and procedures for employees.
Collaborate with other Managers, Supervisors,
Team Leaders, and team members in sharing information to address business
Bachelor’s degree desirable.
A demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma is
Working knowledge of ISO 9002 and TS 16949 is desirable.
5+ years of experience in a leadership role within production
Must have proficient oral and written communication skills
Has experience overseeing between 50+ people.
Strong understanding of planning, scheduling and inventory systems.
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Technical knowledge of stamping machinery. Including, but not limited
to; Progressive tooling, tool & die, die safety and sensors.
