Responsible for establishing, maintaining and monitoring of Environmental, Health and Safety Programs to protect human health, the environment and control related company risk. This job requires the ability to independently coordinate the program.
Evaluates the work environment from the standpoint of ergonomics, machine guarding, and any other applicable regulations.
Conduct/assist in audits, accident investigations and trend analysis.
Provides consultation and assists with initiatives related to EHS projects and programs to include, but not limited to maintaining HazComm, HazMat, Hearing conservation plan and other plans as required by law.
Conducts safety audits, supports inspections and maintains OSHA or equivalent required regulatory compliance.
Manages site environmental permits and complies with all reporting and permit application requirements under all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Performs facility tours and inspections of manufacturing operation, office and shipping areas for EHS regulations.
Develops employees’ safety/environmental training and awareness programs.
Responsible for accident/incident investigations.
Consult with employees on Safety, Health and Environment questions.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Health, the Environment or related discipline is preferred but not required. Minimum 5 years of related Health/Safety experience.
Ability to develop and implement EHS programs. Monitor and Prevent work related injuries, determine environmental risks and ensure compliance with all state and federal governments.
Working conditions require the individual to be on the floor regularly to monitor operations and possible risks.
