This role will drive operational excellence in our flag-ship Columbus, MS facility delivering high-quality products and service to our service center and value-add customers. You will lead all aspects of plant performance and drive Lean Transformation and Continuous Improvement activities and projects to create capacity for growth.


  • Leadership of our Service Center and Stamping operations in Columbus: Lead all manufacturing including scheduling, production, quality control, maintenance, warehouse and freight management;

  • Lead a safety-first culture in all aspects of the division, establish leader standard work for ensuring a safe working environment and drive world-class safety practices;

  • Work with Commercial and Quality teams to ensure we meet customer requirements;

  • Drive best-practice schedule management and attainment;

  • Lead deployment of continuous process improvement and Lean Transformation initiatives to drive productivity improvements.  Coach and mentor teams in continuous improvement;

  • Establish Visual Daily Management and develop standard work;

  • Reduce costs by streamlining processes, ensuring efficient operations spend in MRO, logistics and maintenance, and efficient scheduling;

  • Drive preventative maintenance program to ensure minimal downtime;

  • Develop strong performing supervisor cohort.  Collaborate with HR to develop and implement succession planning and a training and development program;

  • Drive and influence a culture for sustained improvement and continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Equivalent work experience will be considered

  • Ten years of experience in manufacturing; Steel and stamping experience preferred

  • Five years of experience in process improvement / Lean

  • Excellent computer skills Other:

  • Ability to communicate effectively to direct and motivate teams, maintaining a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels

  • Ability to communicate across internal and external customers

  • Strong analytical critical thinker with a process focus

  • Strong planning/organizational & time management skills

  • Sleeves rolled-up; Likes to be on the plant floor.  Experience building capabilities from scratch

  • 66,000 square footage under cover; 150 FTEs

  • Slitting: 2 x 72” wide

  • Leveling: Up to 72” wide

  • Blanking: Up to 72” wide

  • Mechanical Presses: 2 x 150T, 3 x 400T, 1 x 440T
