JOB OVERVIEW The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire production process within the facility. They will manage the strategy and daily responsibilities for 6 departments including production, project management, graphics, logistics, show services, and facilities maintenance.
Ensure that all Operations personnel follow internal processes and policies accurately and efficiently.
Maintain current awareness of business environments and trends related to the industries that relate to global fulfillment.
Develop Operations Objectives and Strategies that support Organizational goals, respond to market trends, manage fulfillment and anticipated fulfillment.
Establish, review and control Operational budgets.
Adhere, review and refine policies and programs that support company objectives for profitability.
Adhere, review, refine and implement processes to measure efficiency and profitability.
Establish, review and control Health & Safety policies and practices to ensure federal, state and city compliance.
Oversee building maintenance by establishing and maintaining routine property maintenance schedule. Coordinate and schedule with internal and external resources.
Authorize and organize establishment of departments, divisions and management staff positions.
Allocate resources (material, financial, personnel) to implement company policies, programs and support fulfillment.
Review and analyze current Operational expenditures and implement strategies to maximize investments.
Oversee and ensure all projects are managed effectively by Operations fulfillment personnel (Asset Management, Staging, Fabrication, Logistics, Local I&D & LV based I&D Supervision.
In collaboration with global planning, forecast, create, implement and manage scheduling for operations.
Develop policies and procedures that ensure timely delivery of high quality exhibit related products and services that meet customer requirements.
Oversee relationships with key vendors related to fulfillment.
Oversee the organization and recruitment of the personnel pools (employees and contractors).
Master’s degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree and minimum 4-10 years of management experience required.
5+ years’ experience in the exhibit or event services industry.
Strong, professional communication skills necessary for regular interaction with customers, employees, and executive leadership.
Proven ability to creatively problem solve and execute solutions in a fast-paced manner.
Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
