Provides anticipated manufacturing cost estimates to sales and customer service to facilitate bids for die-cut, fabricated and molded components and materials. Maintains working relationships with key cutting die resources. Provides recommendations on production methods while operating in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION AND/OR PROFESSIONAL LICENSE(s) AND CERTIFICATIONS
Practical math skills, including trigonometry, linear programming and spreadsheet capabilities.
Blueprint reading and GDT background sufficient to interpret customer requirements.
Knowledge of CAD, analytical software, computer numerical control software, and resource planning software via standard ERP systems a plus.
2+ years of progressive experience in a Manufacturing Shop Floor environment with specific focus on estimating.
Development and responsibilities of maintaining product Routings and Bills of Materials.
ERP/MRP experience as well as advanced knowledge in manufacturing process and procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, Outlook Microsoft office products, email and Search Engines.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Cost estimating die-cut, fabricated and molded components utilizing standards, similar job history and relevant information.
Reviewing drawings for any conditions that may be beyond manufacturing capabilities.
Authority to contact customers directly for specific information related to an estimate.
Authority to negotiate and purchase steel rule dies and solid steel cutting dies and repairs.
Maintain and continually update production standards such as cutting times, leveraging experience to our advantage.
Reviews selected production runs to fine tune standards for similar jobs, continuous improvement.
Create procedures that are clear & concise for shop floor personnel, following Standard Work outline. Procedures are detailed with specific instructions that produce quality product.
Ensure Design for Manufacturing concepts are followed as new customer products or projects are quoted.
