The company is seeking a skilled, organized, and energetic Logistics & Procurement Specialist who can be part of a dynamic team addressing the needs of its current and future clients. Working under the Manager of Production and Sales Engineering, the Logistics & Procurement Specialist will coordinate the predominately international shipping and purchasing activities.



Our client is the leading developer of open ocean aquaculture systems.


  • Work with the current logistic administration personnel to coordinate shipments for all orders (Sales and R&D)
  • Coordinate with vendors and freight forwarders to manage shipments
  • Prepare and submit domestic and international shipping paperwork
  • Import and Export Documents, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists
  • Track shipments and alert project stake holders to changes or delays
  • Serve as a consolidated point of contact for all shipping concerns and questions
  • Maintain logistic tracking data
  • Communicate directly with customers on shipments and customs clearance issues
  • Improve current shipping practices resulting in:
  • Improved efficiencies
  • Reduced cost
  • Ensured compliance with domestic and international rules and regulations
  • Coordinate with Engineering on shipping, trade regulations, and restrictions
  • Equipment/goods to container size and weight requirements
  • Required import certifications for given pieces of equipment
  • Work with procurement team to:
  • Process purchase orders for both Sales and R&D
  • Review procurement paperwork for QA/QC
  • Maintain strong working relationships with vendors


  • 5 plus years’ experience in international shipping administrations or logistics
  • Understanding international vendors requirements
  • Incoterms
  • Container shipping / Freight Forwarder relationships
  • Professional working proficiency of Spanish a plus
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Purchasing experience/accounting knowledge
  • ERP background/qualification/experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • General understanding of QC/QA programs
  • A working knowledge of marine related gear, such as ropes, shackles and similar hardware is a plus
