OVERVIEW 

As the Company looks for new revenue streams, we are looking for a business development manager who will develop logistics solutions for both potential new sales and existing clients of the company. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to the management of the Business Development team, supply chain end-to-end service development with finding new vendors/partners, communicating potentials sales leads with team members, and the client onboarding process and various other tasks to complete projects.

Our client is an asset based 3PL providing freight transportation and logistics, outsource solutions, produce sourcing, and information services to customers through a network of offices in North America and Asia. They provide access to company trucks and transportation providers worldwide, including contract motor carriers, railroads, air freight carriers, and ocean carriers.  


 

RESPONSIBILITIES

         Lead a positive, proactive, and results-oriented work culture

         Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction

         Conduct research to identify new markets and customers’ needs

         Understand the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to attract clients

         Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones

         Support new client onboarding process

         Continuously seek new technology which can be added to the company’s menu of global supply chain solution


RESPONSIBILITIES

         Minimum 5 years of work experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role

         Industry/Market knowledge

         Personal computer literate, including effective use of the internet, e-mail, and Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook)

         Excellent interpersonal skills, project and time management, customer service, organizational skills and communication skills, both oral and written

         Read, Write, Speak Japanese preferred
